 A. Curriculum for Autism

Autism Curriculum 
It is a designed curriculum plans and procedures that include areas of communication, social, behavioral or adaptation focusing on major deficits of autism.

SPED General Curriculum
It is a designed curriculum plans and procedures that include fine motor and gross motor skills, pre-academic and academic skills, socio-personal skills, self-domestic skills and survival skills, necessary for the education of autistic individuals.




B. Educational Intervention Program

Early Childhood Level

1. Early Intervention Program (EIP). 
It is designed to cater children ages 2-4.5 years old. Usually for those who are newly diagnosed with autism (and other related disorders) or those children who did not acquire educational intervention yet. The program includes the “first-thing-first” communication, social, behavioral and sensory motor development programs.

2. Early Primary Program (EPP)
It is designed to cater children ages 4.6-6.5 years old that had already passed the EIP. Additional Programs on social, pre-academic/academic, beginning of inclusion, preschool social skills program and self-care are included in this level.

Middle Childhood Level
It is designed for children aging 6.6-14 old that had undergone the ECL Programs. A choice of developing cognitive skills   for general education able/high functioning autistic individuals or pre-vocational and domestic skills programs for students who cannot meet the criteria for inclusion programs.


Adolescent Level
1. Transition 1
It is designed for pre-adolescents aging 12-15 years old. Exposure to different vocational program, independent living and functional academics. Prerequisite for this level are the four (4) programs mentioned above.

2. Transition 2&3
 It is designed to cater autistic individuals within 16-19 years old for community integration specialized in vocational skills and social behavior

Adult Level

It is designed to cater autistic adults ages 20 and above. It is a program plans and procedures focusing on pre-vocational, vocational, social behavior integration, employment, a sheltered workshops or household chores responsibility


Note:
Communication, behavior and social skills are the foundations of all the intervention programs mentioned above. Autistic individuals need to be intervened by these programs at all levels to fight the deficits of autism.






C. Individualized Education Programs (IEP)

The Individualized Education Program is a written statement for each child with a disability developed in a meeting of group of individuals or agency working with the child to design instruction to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities.

Components of the IEP
G – Goals (annual)
O – Objectives (short-term)
T – Transition Services
I – Initiation and duration of services
E – Evaluation criteria and schedules
P – Present performance levels; and
S – Services to be provided – regular and special education

D. Other Services/One on One Therapy
One-on-One Tutorial/Therapy Session. The teacher does this to a child focusing on communication, behavior, social, cognitive or any deficit areas as identified during the needs assessment or evaluation. Other students may also conduct one-on-one therapy sessions to enhance their present skills.

Group Tutorial/Therapy Program. Done with two or three children grouped within the range of developmental level and chronological age handled by a teacher. In any case a caregiver or assistant is allowed if necessary. Programs are focused on the needs of an individual as well as the group goals.

Occupational or Speech Therapy Program.
This is done by the center’s hired professionals specifically Occupational Therapist (OT) to treat individuals who need programs on Sensory Integration (SI) and motor skills.

A combination of Different Services. The client receives either a combination or all of the available services such as one-on-one therapy, group therapy program or occupational therapy program.

Talents therapy- this program includes developing the child's talent to enhance his potentials and nurturing skills/ability

Voice Lesson Therapy- a program of the First Note Company and GS Option House to train the child to develop skills in singing.

Dance Therapy- a program of the First Note Company and GS Option House to train and develop skills in motor coordination and dancing.

Violin- experts professional that conduct lessons in violin through suzuki method (Japan) in a group or individual session.

Sports Therapy- is a program design to develop skill in sports e.g., tennis, basketball.

Arts Therapy- is a program design to develop the child's creativity in art, drawing, painting etc.
